We specialise in rebuilding 206, 246 and 308 engines to concours standard. After rebuild, all engines are run for 2 hours on a run-up stand and then cam, valve clearances and ignition timing are checked and reset if necessary. Also oil pressures, alternator and starter are tested. The engine is then returned to you fully set up and ready to install.

 ALL ENGINES
Crankshaft is dynamically balanced with front pulley and flywheel.
Pistons and conrods are balanced.
Cylinder heads pressure tested.
Crankshaft is crack tested.
Alternator and starter motor rebuilt.
Water pump rebuilt.
Distributor rebuilt and correct advance curve set.
Oil pump surfaced and rebuilt if necessary.
All valve seat areas re-profiled for efficient mixture flow.
All valve springs checked for correct tension and length.
Block descaled.
All parts replated as original BZP and yellow passivated.
Carbs. fully rebuilt, accuracy of manifold to head checked.

It is impossible to quote firm prices on the cost of rebuilding an engine but as a guide £6500 for a 206-246 and £7500 for a 308 is the likely cost of a standard engine plus the associated cost of rebuilding the gearbox. This assumes that there are no major problems like dropped valves, cracked heads or cracked crankshaft.
